Checking

Check rear window (1) when the front crank window (2) is closed completely.
The Vario roof is open and the vehicle should not be lifted.

1 Close front door and check reference dimension (b) between rear side window (1) and front crank window (2).
Reference dimension (b): 8.5...9.5 mm
2 Check reference dimension (a) of transition between front crank window (2) and rear side window (1).
Reference dimension (a): 0...1 mm





Adjust

3 Completely open rear side window with Star Diagnosis
4 Remove roll bar paneling (3)
5 Remove inner sealing rail (4)
6 Remove outer sealing rail (5)
7 Move rear side window to upper end position with Star Diagnosis.





8 Loosen bolts (6) on clamping jaws (7) until rear side window (1) can be moved.
9 Move rear side window (1) until reference dimension (b) is adjusted.
The rear side window (1) should make contact in the front clamping jaws (7). Adjust so that it runs parallel to the front crank window (2) by raising or lowering in the rear clamping jaws (7).
10 Check reference dimension (a) of transition between front crank window (2) and rear side window (1).
11 Slightly lower rear side window (1) with Star Diagnosis.
12 Loosen nut (9) and bolt (8) of height adjuster (10) and move height adjuster (10) to corresponding direction.
Turn bolt (8) to right to loosen.
Move height adjuster (10) on bolt (8) upward to adjust rear side window (1) upward.
Move height adjuster (10) on bolt (8) upward to adjust rear side window (1) upward.
13 Tighten bolt (8) on height adjuster (10) and counter with nut (9).
Turn left to tighten bolt (8).
14 Move rear side window (1) to upper end position with Star
Diagnosis, check reference dimension (a) and reference dimension (b) again and repeat entire adjustment procedure if required.
Reference dimension (a): 0...1 mm
Reference dimension (b): 8.5...9.5 mm
