Checking

1 Loosen outer sealing rail (2) from rear fender with mounting wedge and remove
2 Check reference dimension (c) between rear side window (1) and belt line of rear fender.

Reference dimension (c): 7 mm.

Adjust

3 Remove cover (3) and loosen nut (4).
4 Detach inner sealing frame (5) in front area until nut (6) and bolt (7) are accessible.
5 Loosen nut (6) and bolt (7) one after the other.
6 Adjust rear side window (1) together with power window by turning bolt (7) until reference dimension "c" is adjusted.
7 Completely close Vario roof with Vario roof actuation switch
8 Completely close front crank window and rear side window (1) with power window central locking switch.
9 Open front door and check position of head piece of bar seal (8) in C-pillar seal (9).
The bar seal (8) should run flush into the C-pillar seal (9) as shown (arrow).
10 Tighten nut (4).
11 Install cover (3).
12 Counter bolt (7) with nut (6).
Do not turn bolt (7) when countering. Otherwise the adjustment of the rear side window (1) changes.
13 Completely open Vario roof with Vario roof actuation switch
14 Completely lower rear side window (1) with Star Diagnosis.
15 Install inner sealing rail (5) and outer sealing rail (2).
