AR72.10-P-1950-05W Height Adjustment of Front Window
Adjust position of front crank window (1) in longitudinal direction (X-direction) before adjusting the height (Z-direction).
Adjustment in X-direction
1 Open front door (2) and lock door lock with screwdriver.
Front crank window (1) leaves short stroke position and moves all the way up
2 Loosen bolts (3) in clamping jaws (4) or tighten until front crank window (1) can just be moved with force.
3 Push front crank window (1) toward front to stop into front window guide rail.
4 Mark installation position of front crank window (1) with suitable marker or adhesive strips in relation to outer sealing rail (5) (arrow A) and move front crank window (1) toward rear 5.4 mm.
Adjustment in Z direction
5 Unlock door lock.
Front crank window (1) moves to short stroke position.
6 Attach adhesive strips (6) to top edge of front crank window (1).
7 Mark line (arrow B) on both adhesive strips (6) at a distance of 20.0 mm measured from upper window edge.
Use depth gauge to measure. Otherwise the measuring result is not accurate.
Mark line (arrow B) parallel to upper window edge on both adhesive strips (6).
8 Close front door (2) and check height adjustment (Z-direction).
Reference dimension (H) for height adjustment: 23.3 mm, measured from the edge of the Vario roof front section to the marked line (arrow B) on the adhesive strip (6).
9 Uniformly move front crank window (1) upward or downward. Ensure that the adjustment of the front crank window (1) is not changed in the longitudinal direction (X-direction).
10 Close front door (2) and check adjustment in X and Y-direction, correct if necessary.
11 Open front door (2) and lock door lock with screwdriver.
Front crank window (1) leaves short stroke position and moves all the way up.
12 Tighten bolts (3) in clamping jaws (4).
13 Unlock door lock.
