AR72.10-P-1950-03W Adjustment of the Preload on the Front Window

Shown on rear power window rail (2).
1 Move front crank window to lowermost end position with power window central locking switch. Check reference dimension (A) at front and rear power window rail (2).
Reference dimension (A):
On front power window rail (2): 39 mm
On rear power window rail (2): 27 mm
Measured from the inner edge of the inner door panel (3) in relation to the corresponding power window rail (2).
2 Move front crank window (1) to upper end position with power window central locking switch, close front door and check whether front crank window (1) runs correctly into seals (4, 5).
The front crank window (1) should run into the seals (4, 5) (arrows D) over the entire length parallel to the roof edge (arrow B) and the edge of the A-pillar (arrow C)
Adjust
Shown on rear power window rail (2).
3 Remove grommets (6)
4 Loosen nuts (7), move front and rear power window rail (2) into elongated holes (arrows E) and adjust reference dimensions (A) on front and rear power window rail (2).
Always loosen both nuts (7).
Otherwise the power window can distort.
Reference dimension (A):
On front power window rail (2): 39 mm
On rear power window rail (2): 27 mm
Measured from the inner edge of the inner door panel (3) in relation to the corresponding power window rail (2).
5 Screw nuts (7) tight.
6 Check reference dimensions (A), repeat adjustment if necessary.
7 Install grommets (6).
