AH03.20-P-4351-02TK Interference Fit of Crankshaft Bearing Cap
Interference fit of crankshaft bearing cap
The crankshaft bearing caps are machined together with the crankcase and must not be interchanged.
The crankshafts are inserted into the side in the crankcase as an interference fit. The fit is offcentered 0.5 mm with the result that the crankshaft bearing caps can be installed only in one position. If installed correctly, the lug (arrow) on the crankshaft bearing cap points to the left, when viewed in direction of travel.
The crankshaft bearing caps (6, 6a) are numbered consecutively, beginning at the first crankshaft bearing cap at the front.
