Rivet timing chain of Lanchester balancer





















1 Connect the ends of the new timing chain (4) with a new riveted link (6). m Insert riveted link (6) from the rear.





2 Place assembly insert (7) with the digit F10 into theme rivet press tool (1 ) and attach.





3 Insert assembly insert (8) with the digit D10 into theme rivet press tool (1 ) as illustrated.





4 Place new outer plate (9) into the assembly insert. The outer plate (9) is held magnetically.





5 Fit on riveting tool (1 ) so that the spacer webs (arrow) are resting on the rollers of the riveted link.
6 Screw in pressure screw at rivet press tool (1 ) until solid resistance is felt. m When turning the spindle, ensure that the pins of the riveted link move into the holes of the outer plate (9).
7 Remove rivet press tool (1).





8 Convert assembly insert (8) with the digit D10 to the illustrated rivet profile (arrow).





9 Fit on rivet press tool (1 ) exactly above the center of the pin (arrow). m Rivet pins of the riveted link individually.
10 Tighten pressure screw at rivet press tool (1 ) ED .
11 Remove rivet press tool (1).





12 Inspect riveting (arrows), re-rivet if necessary.
