Vario Roof(R) - Roof And Trunk Lid Concerns

Roof front section rests on roof frame and does not lock completely. The trunk lid does not start to move or remains in an intermediate position.

Reason for change "Perform function check" under Remedy deleted.

Complaint:
Roof front section rests on roof frame and does not lock completely.

The trunk lid does not start to move or remains in an intermediate position.

Cause:
Roof does not reach end position. Contact switch "Vario roof closed locking pin receptacle" is not actuated.

Remedy:
Replace contact switch (locking pin receptacle limit switch). (Switch modified - contact advanced by 1.5 mm - new part number).

Note:
Diagnosis (Xentry) does not display the fault code "Limit switch" (no faults logged in memory).

Important:
Do not replace the hydraulic pump
