N25/7 AIRSCARF control unit

Location
The AIRSCARF control unit is located to the right on the trunk partition wall.

Task
The AIRSCARF control unit has the following tasks:
^ Reading in of sensors and signals
^ Evaluation of input factors
^ Actuating components

Reading in of sensors and signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN (CAN B)

Direct line
The following signals are read in via a direct line:
- Status of the left AIRSCARF fan motor (M4/10)
- Status of the right AIRSCARF fan motor (M4/11)

Interior CAN
The following signals are read in over the interior CAN:
- By the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1):
- Outside temperature sensor signal (B14)
- Status of the left AIRSCARF button (N72/1s21)
- Status of the right AIRSCARF button (N72/1s22)
- Provided by the vario roof control control unit (N52):
Vario roof status
- Provided by instrument cluster (A1):
- Vehicle speed

Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.

Component actuation
The actuation of the components takes place via the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN

Direct line
The following components are actuated via a direct line:
- Left AIRSCARF fan motor
- Right AIRSCARF fan motor
- Left AIRSCARF heating element (R22/5)
- Right AIRSCARF heating element (R22/6)

Interior CAN
The following components are actuated over the interior CAN:
- from the front SAM control unit via the UCP control unit (N72/1) and the instrument panel LIN (LIN 1):
- LED for the left AIRSCARF button
- LED for the right AIRSCARF button
