Convertible Top Deck Lid: Service and Repair

AR77.30-P-6347-01W Perform Emergency Actuation on Vario Roof Rear Shelf Main Flap.





1 Completely move left front seat toward front and fold backrest toward front.
2 Unclip left speaker cover with belt guide (1) and allow to hang down on seat belt.
3 Unscrew coat hook (2).
4 Remove cover (4) from rear wall lining (3).
5 Detach rear wall lining (3) until emergency actuation connector (5) is accessible.
6 Connect emergency actuation wiring harness (6) to emergency actuation connector (5)
7 Connect emergency actuation wiring harness (6) to on-board electrical system battery.
8 Fold rear shelf main flap upward with emergency actuation wiring harness (6).
The rear shelf drive electric motor does not switch off automatically. When the rear shelf main flap is folded up completely, release emergency actuation wiring harness (6). Otherwise, the rear shelf drive electric motor can be damaged. The symbols on the emergency actuation wiring harness switch (6) do not necessarily correspond to the actual direction of motion. Therefore press the switch only momentarily the first time to determine which button is responsible for which direction of motion. If the switch is actuated too long and the rear shelf drive electric motor is therefore moved against the stop too long, the rear shelf drive electric motor can be damaged.
