The transition between the trunk lid (2) and the left and right rear fender can be adjusted separately, if the difference is not too great. Adjustment is shown on the tubular frame pin (1) as an example as follows.

1 Open trunk lid (2)
2 Screw in puncture buffer (3)
3 Remove expansion clip (4) from trunk lining (5).
4 Loosen luggage compartment paneling (5) in area of tubular frame pin (1) until tubular frame pin (1) is accessible





5 Mark installation position of tubular frame pin (1) as shown.
Mark installation position of tubular frame pin (1) as precisely as possible. Otherwise precise adjustment is not possible. Moreover, it is possible to change the basic adjustment of tubular frame.





6 Loosen bolts (6) until tubular frame pin (1) can be moved with force.
7 Adjust tubular frame pins (1) in increment of 0.5 mm to 1.0 mm upward and downward. This makes it necessary to adapt the height of the striker (7) and the closing force of the trunk lid (2) after each adjustment step.
Do not slide tubular frame pin (1) toward front or rear.
Otherwise the basic adjustment of the tubular frame can change.
If the trunk lid (2) is too high, adjust tubular frame pin (1) downward. This increases the closing force of the trunk lid (2). If the trunk lid (2) is too low, adjust tubular frame pin (1) upward. This decreases the closing force of the trunk lid (2).
During adjustment, check transition between trunk lid (2) and rear fender (11) with straight edge (9). The trunk lid (2) must be flush with the rear fender (11).
8 When the tubular frame pins (1) are adjusted correctly, tighten bolts (6) with specified tightening torque.





9 Adjust height of striker (7).
Observe gap dimensions (M, V), closing force of trunk lid (2) and tightening torque of mounting bolts on striker (7).
10 Unscrew puncture buffer (3) until locked trunk lid (2) no longer has play.





11 Position luggage compartment lining (5).
12 Install expansion clip (4).
13 Close trunk lid.
