N69/1 Left door control unit
Location
The left door control unit is located on the rear door module of the door panel.
Task
The left door control unit has the following tasks:
^ Reading in of signals
^ Evaluation of input factors
^ Actuation of components
Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Left door LIN (LIN B5)
^ Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via direct lines:
- Driver door infrared remote control receiver A26/1
- Left door rotary tumbler switch (A85s1)
- Left front power window motor Hall sensor (M10/3)
- Left front door central locking interior switch (S85/5):
- Open central locking switch (S85/5s1)
- Close central locking switch (S85/5s2)
- With code (275) Memory package for electrically adjustable front seats:
- Vertical inclination adjustment potentiometer (M21/1r2)
- Horizontal inclination adjustment potentiometer (M21/1r3)
Left door LIN
The signals for the following components are read in via the left door LIN:
- Driver-side power window and outside mirror adjustment switch group (S20):
- Left power window switch (S20s1)
- Right power window switch (S20s2)
- Outside mirror folding in and out switch (S20s9) (with code (500) Folding left/right outside mirrors)
- Left outside mirror adjustment switch (S20s10)
- Right outside mirror adjustment switch (S20s11)
- Outside mirror adjustment switch (S20s12)
- With code (275) Memory package for electrically adjustable front seats:
- Left seat adjustment switch group (S22):
- Left seat inclination adjustment switch (S22s2)
- Left seat fore/aft adjustment switch (S22s3)
- Left seat height adjustment switch (S22s4)
- Left seat backrest adjustment switch (S22s5)
- Left memory function switch (S22s6)
- Left memory switch 1 (S22s7)
- Left memory switch 2 (S22s8)
- Left memory switch 3 (S22s9)
Interior CAN
The signals are read in by the left door control unit via the interior CAN. The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.

The actuation of the components takes place via the following connections:

The following components are actuated via direct lines:
- Left door central locking motor A85m1
- Left door additional door lock actuator motor A85m4 (with code (885) Extended theft protection)
- Left front power window motor
With code (877) Ambiance illumination:
- Left door handle ambiance illumination (E43/38)
- Front trim piece ambiance illumination, left door (E43/40)
- Rear trim piece ambiance illumination, left door (E43/42)
- Left outside mirror (M21/1):
- Left outside mirror ambient lamp (M21/1e1) (with code (876) Interior lights package)
- Left blind spot assist warning lamp (M21/1e2) (with code (234) Blind spot assist or code (237) Active blind spot assist)
- Mirror dimming (M21/1h1) (Left-hand drive vehicle with code (249) Automatically dimming inside rearview mirror and outside mirror)
- Vertical inclination adjustment actuator motor (M21/1m1)
- Horizontal inclination adjustment actuator motor (M21/1m2)
- Electric folding in/out outside mirror (M21/1m3) (with code (500) Left/right folding outside mirror)
- Mirror heater (M21/1r1)
- Left outside mirror turn signal lamp (E6/5)
The left front door control unit supplies the connected control elements with c. 58d.
