AZ88.00-P-0001-03W Converting Rear Bumper
Model 172.4

Check components removed from standard bumper before assembly and replace if damaged.
Pay attention to paint damage.





1 Insert adapter for center basic carrier (2) and arrest center basic carrier (2) into rear bumper paneling (1).
The center basic carrier (2) should arrest properly in the rear bumper paneling (1).
2 Clip mounting plate (3) into center basic carrier (2) and provide with sealing washer (4).
3 Arrest paneling bottom section (5) in rear bumper paneling (1) and fix in place with four expansion clips (6).
The lower section of the paneling (5) should arrest correctly in the rear bumper paneling (1).
4 Insert left wheel arch cover (7) and right wheel arch cover (8) into rear bumper paneling (1) and fix in place with one expansion rivet (9) each.





5 Clip outer right rear parking system distance sensor (B8/7), inner right rear parking system distance sensor (B8/8), inner left rear parking system distance sensor (B8/9) and outer left rear parking system distance sensor (B8/10) into brackets on rear bumper paneling (1).
Previously check whether a decoupling ring (transparent silicon ring) is installed on the parking distance sensors
6 Insert wiring harness (10) into rear bumper paneling (1) and fix in place in attachment points present. Connect parking system distance sensors.
The electrical connector on the rear bumper parking system (X35/28) must be routed on the right side.





7 Hook check strap (12) on towing eye cover (13) into front bumper paneling (1).
8 Insert towing eye cover (13) into rear bumper paneling (1) and arrest.
The towing eye cover (13) should arrest correctly in the rear bumper paneling (1).





9 Clip impact absorber (14) into rear bumper paneling (1).
Shown on ECE impact absorber.
Carefully insert impact absorber (14) into rear bumper paneling (1), otherwise the bracket for the parking system distance sensors can be damaged.
