Amplifying and decoding signals
The Satellite digital audio radio control unit (SDAR) decodes and amplifies the satellite signals (Time For Division Multiplex (TDM)) and terrestrial signals (Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (COFDM)) in pulse mode modulation (PCM) signals.

- Demodulated and decoded digital S-band satellite as well as S-band terrestrial signals as digital traffic and weather data signals to the navigation unit integrated into the COMAND controller unit (A40/3)
