Location
The cradle for the navigation module is in the glove compartment.

Task
^ Connection of the navigation module (A2/30) (with code (509) Navigation box) to the vehicle
^ Receive signals
^ Transmitting signals


Connection of the navigation module (with code (509) Navigation box) to the vehicle
The navigation module can be connected via the cradle for the navigation module.

Receive signals
- Power supply circuit 30g and circuit 31
- Control signals via telematics CAN (CAN A) from the radio (A2)
- Global Positioning System (GPS) signals via the GPS antenna (A2/23) (except code (386) Comfort telephony)
- GPS signals via the multifunction antenna (A28/11) (with code (386) Comfort telephony)
- Audio signals via direct line from radio
- FM signals for Traffic Message Channel (TMC) from the FM 2, DAB and TV 3 antenna amplifier (A2/19) via the FM/TMC antenna splitter (A2/98) and a coaxial cable
- Signals from the navigation module

Transmit signals
- Signals from the navigation module to the radio
- Audio signals via direct line to the radio
- Video signals to the radio via low voltage differential signal (LVDS) line
- Control signals to the radio via the telematics CAN





E Unlocking pin

The navigation module can be ejected from the navigation module cradle by pressing the release pin.
The release pin can be removed. The release pin can be ordered as a replacement part via Mercedes-Benz Accessories.
