The TV digital tuner is a subscriber of the MOST, via which it communicates with the COMAND controller unit (A40/3).
Direct lines
- Power supply over circuit 31 and circuit 30g (up to 31.5.2012) or circuit 30 (as of 1.6.2012), over a direct line each
- Electronic wake-up for MOST via a direct line
- TV 1 antenna amplifier (A94/1) via a coaxial cable
- TV 2 antenna amplifier (A94/2) via a coaxial cable
- FM 2, DAB and TV 3 (A2/19) antenna amplifier via a coaxial cable
Demodulating and decoding signals
The TV signals that are received via the antenna amplifier are evaluated internally and separated into video and audio signals.

MOST
The TV digital tuner is a subscriber of the MOST, via which it communicates with the COMAND controller unit. The audio signals are transmitted to the COMAND controller unit or the sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) (with code (810) Sound system).
Design
The TV digital tuner is delivered with a "B-CAS card". In vehicles up to 31.5.2012 the card reader is sealed in the digital TV tuner with a cover, to prevent any unauthorized removal of the "B-CAS card".
As of 1.6.2012 the "B-CAS card" is a Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) card version and it can be plugged into the SIM card reader. The SIM card reader does not have a cover.
