Measurement - Angle 5

The vehicle must be on its wheels for the measurement.

All five angles should be measured in succession without interruption.

An angle that has already been measured can be measured a second time if required. To do this, with the Measurement menu displayed, press the STEP button repeatedly until the display indicates Ready to measure the relevant angle.





1 Clean contact surfaces (arrows) at rear axle housing to remove paint and/or gasket residuals and remove uneven material using a suitable tool.





2 Attach adaptation of rear axle differential (020h) to rear axle housing (magnetic).
3 Align rear axle differential adapter (020h) horizontally in transverse direction using spirit level (020i).
4 Tighten retaining bolts (020k) for rear axle center assembly adapter (020h).





5 Mount sensor mount (020c) with the two knurled bolts centrally on the sensor (020a).





6 Position sensor bracket (020c) with sensor (020a) on rear axle center assembly adapter (020h) by turning slightly to left/right (magnetic).

The spiral cable (020b) of the sensor (020a) must point in the direction of travel for each measurement, otherwise the measurement will be incorrect.





The meter is ready to take a measurement. The value measured is shown on the display.

7 Press SAVE button. The values are saved.

A confirmation message appears briefly. The measurement is completed and stored in memory. The display "Measurement recording of angle 1".

8 Remove sensor (020a) from rear axle center assembly.
9 Remove rear axle center assembly adapter (020h).
10 Detach sensor mount (020c) from sensor (020a).
