AR40.10-P-1030-01MB Tire, support ring removal
- with CODE (979) Special protection version [model 220]
- with CODE (Z07) Top protection [model 221]
- with Notlaufrad (emergency traversing) PAX-System
Component Identification:
1 Use the roller (1) on the upper mounting bar to press against the tire bead until the tire bead lifts slightly off the rim flange. Then turn the wheel through one revolution and simultaneously coat the entire length of the tire bead with dismantling paste at the point where the tire bead meets the roller (1).
Component Identification:
2 Keep the tire bead pressed down at one of the spokes and insert the guard plate (2).
Component Identification:
3 Continue to rotate the wheel until the roller (1) is located just next to the guard plate (2). Then use the roller (1) to press down the tire bead far enough to allow the assembly lever (3) to be inserted.
Component Identification:
4 Hold the assembly lever (3) and carefully turn the wheel further. Install an additional guard plate (4) and insert a second mounting lever (5) at the next spoke.
Then apply the same procedure as for the first guard plate (2).
Component Identification:
5 Hold both assembly levers (3, 5) and remove the upper mounting bar from the wheel.
6 Pull the tire bead over the rim flange (3) using the assembly lever (3).
Component Identification:
7 Pull the tire bead over the rim flange (5) using the assembly lever (3).
8 Pull the entire circumference of the tire bead over the rim flange and remove the guard plates.
Component Identification:
9 Use the roller (6) on the lower mounting bar to press against the lower tire bead while simultaneously turning the tire and pressing off from disk wheel.
When pressing off, make sure that the roller (6) does not stop at the "hump" of the disk wheel; readjust the lower mounting bar is necessary.
The procedure can be observed in the mounting machine's mirror.
Component Identification:
10 Use clamp cylinder (11) to remove the rim ring (10).
Extend the hook on the clamp cylinder (11) and position on the support ring (10) as shown in the diagram. Support the clamp cylinder (11) against the tire bead.
Draw in the hook of the clamp cylinder (11) to extract the support ring (10) from the tire.
