Component Identification:

The puller 221 589 02 33 00 is required for all models 216, 221. Do not use the puller fork for model 221 with top protection, code Z07.

Only use the puller fork 221 589 03 33 00 for model 221 with top protection, code Z07.

1 Unscrew self-locking nut from supporting joint of spring control arm (17).

Installation: Replace self-locking nut.

2 Screw the thrust washer (044a) onto the carrying joint.
3 Apply the puller (035).
4 Press spring control arm (17) out of steering knuckle (5) by turning spindle (arrow).

When pressing out, do not damage the rubber boot of the supporting ball joint, otherwise the spring control arm must be replaced.
