Supplemental restraint system, general
The supplemental restraint system is used for occupant protection.

The SRS is made up of the following subfunctions which are described in separate documents:
^ Belt lock system, function (model 216)
^ Passenger-side seat occupied recognition, function (with code (U18) Automatic child seat recognition (ACSR [AKSE]))
^ Passenger side seat occupied recognition function (model 216 with code (494) USA version, model 221 with code (494) USA version as of 1.9.08)
^ Passenger-side seat occupied recognition, function (model 221 with code (494) USA version up to 31.8.08)
