Location
The panoramic sliding roof control unit is located on the left front on the frame of panoramic sliding roof frame.

Task
The panoramic sliding roof control unit has the following tasks:
^ Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
^ Evaluation of input factors
^ Actuation of components

Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
The input factors are read in with the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN

Direct line
The following sensors are read in via a direct line:
- Rear roller sun blind Hall sensor 1 (M54/1b1)
- Rear roller sun blind Hall sensor 2 (M54/1b2)
- Front roller sun blind Hall sensor 1 (M54b1)
- Front roller sun blind Hall sensor 2 (M54b2)

Interior CAN
The following signals and sensors are read in via interior CAN: By the overhead control panel control unit (N70):
- Roof system switch (N70s1)
- Rear roller sun blind switch (N70s10)
- Rain/light sensor (/)B38/2

Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.

Actuation of components
Actuation of the components takes place via the following connections:
^ Direct line

The following components are actuated via a direct line:
- Rear roller sun blind motor (M54/1)
- Integrated panoramic sliding roof motor (A98m1)
- Front roller sun blind motor (M54)

Design
The panoramic sliding roof control unit contains the following elements:
- Hall sensor 1, panoramic sliding roof (A98b1)
- Hall sensor 2, panoramic sliding roof (A98b2)
- Panoramic sliding roof motor
- Panoramic sliding roof control unit (A98n1)
