GF30.30-P-3210LE Component Description For DTR Controller Unit
GF30.30-P-3210LE Component Description For DTR Controller Unit
- with CODE (233) Distronic Plus
- as of model year 09
Component Identification:
Location
The DTR controller unit is located in the center behind the radiator grille.
Task
The DTR controller unit has the following tasks:
- Actuation, supply and evaluation of signals received by DTR radar sensor (A89b1)
- Control of the target evaluation of long range radar
- Transfer of vehicle longitudinal control data to the radar sensors control unit (SGR) (N62/1)
The DTR control unit (A89n1) integrated in the DTR controller unit actuates the DTR radar sensor (long range sensor) and evaluates the target data. The DTR controller unit sends the long range radar target data via the dynamics CAN (CAN H) to the radar sensors control unit (for vehicle longitudinal control by Distronic PLUS).
Input and output signals
The following input signals are evaluated by the DTR controller unit and transmitted as output signals:
^ Direct input signals
^ Direct output signals
^ CAN input signals
^ CAN output signals
Direct input signals
- Circuit 87
- Circuit 31
Direct output signals
- None
CAN input signals
- Radar request
- Diagnosis request
CAN output signals
- Radar data
- Diagnostic data
Design
Component Identification:
The DTR radar sensor and the DTR control unit are integrated within the DTR controller unit
Properties of the long range radar:
- Detection range of radar sensor from 10 to 150 m
- Detection angle of the radar beam 18° (sharp beam bundling)
- 77 GHz radar sensor operating on the pulse Doppler principle for independent measurement of distance and speed
- Fully integrated electronics version (high frequency circuit in the DTR controller unit)
Component Identification:
The radar plate is a radar-permeable cover in the radiator grille, which is required for the Distronic PLUS to function correctly.
The radar plate has the following tasks:
- Shielding against external effects (such as dirt, ice or insects)
- Ensuring optimal transmission and reception properties of the radar sensor
