AR68.30-P-4300-05SY Prepare Headliner For Installing Interior Sensor
- with CODE (882) Interior monitoring (with ATA [EDW] only) [models 216.371, 221.1]
- except CODE (413) Panoramic glass roof with top sliding roof

Repair Materials:

1. Shim center area of new headliner (1) with suitable spacers, e.g. foam material or styrofoam blocks.
Do not use hard or sharp-edged objects to prevent damaging the new headliner cover (1).
The shims prevent the new headliner (1) from being bent or damaged during the following work step

2. Lay installation frame (6) with flat side on rear of headliner (1) and align between cutouts for panoramic roof.
3. Mark cutout for ultrasonic echo sounder sensor on new headliner (1).
4. Remove installation frame (6) from new headliner (1).
5. Saw cutout for ultrasonic echo sounder sensor out of new headliner (1).
Use hacksaw blade, otherwise headliner (1) can be damaged.
Cut out outside marked cutting line, otherwise cutout for ultrasonic echo sounder sensor may be too large.

6. Turn new headliner (1) and insert installation frame (6) from bottom into new headliner (1).
7. Bend over retaining tabs of installation frames (6) with plastic mallet.
Support rear of installation frame (6) with suitable clean object, otherwise installation frame (6) can distort.

8. Install 180 x 20 mm felt strip (9) on front and rear edge of installation frame (6) as chafe protection.
