Location
The Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit is located in the luggage compartment at the left behind the paneling.

Task
The Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit has the following tasks:
^ Reading in of signals
^ Decoding of signals
^ Transmitting signals

Reading in of signals
Signals are read in via the following connections:
^ Direct line

Direct line
The following signals are read in with direct lines:
- Electronic Wake-up for Media Oriented System Transport (MOST)
- Digital Audio Broadcasting (Digital Radio) (DAB) L-band signals from the DAB L-band antenna (A2/49a5) (model 221) or from the DAB L-band antenna (A95/1) (model 216)
- Band III signals from the rear window antenna amplifier module (A2/12)

Decoding of signals
The Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit decodes the DAB L-band signals and band III signals to obtain pulse code modulation signals.

Transmitting signals
Signals are sent through the following connection:
^ MOST

The following signals are sent via MOST:
- Pulse code modulation signals
- Audio signals to the audio tuner control unit (N93/1)
- DAB status and list of stations to COMAND control unit (A40/3)
