AN82.62-P-0003-02SX Retrofit Volume Control Wiring Harness

Component Identification:

1 Remove cover (21) of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) through rear center armrest opening.







2 Wind felt tape around wiring harness with fuse carrier (4) for 500 mm starting from the fuse carrier (8).







3 Connect gray fuse carrier (8) of wiring harness with fuse carrier (4) to slot 137 of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) as per picture and fit with a 5 amps fuse.

Slot 137 of the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) is marked with color.

4 Route wiring harness with fuse carrier (4) to left side of luggage compartment as per picture and fasten.
5 Reinstall cover of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).







6 Route brown line from wiring harness with fuse carrier (4) to ground point (W6) and connect.
7 Continue routing wiring harness with fuse carrier (4) from luggage compartment behind left backrest and fasten to on-board wiring harnesses.







8 Route wiring harness with fuse carrier (4) behind backrest cover (22) to rear center armrest as per picture and fasten.







9 Detach blue housing (see arrow) from VOL switch (2).

Blue housing is no longer required.







10 Clip blue switches (two each) onto VOL switch (2) in direction of arrow.







11 Lock VOL switch (2) with the securing bolt (14).







12 Lead out all wiring harnesses toward rear through opening of rear center armrest.
13 Connect identically colored couplings and plugs of all wiring harnesses (see picture).

Plugs and couplings are coded.







14 Route wiring harness with white 10-pin coupling and 10-pin white plug (7) behind rear backrest cover (22) in cable ducts towards front to center console as per picture.










15 Align red longitudinal markings (rt) of wiring harness with white 10-pin coupling and white 10-pin plug (7) with red longitudinal markings of on-board wiring harnesses and fasten wiring harness to on-board wiring harnesses.
16 Connect front volume control plug (19) of wiring harness with white 10-pin coupling and white 10-pin plug (7) with front volume control coupling (20) to front central operating unit (A40/9).
17 Fold up excess lengths of wiring harnesses with connectors as per picture and fix in place behind rear center armrest using cable ties.
