1. Weigh the extinguishing agent tank (1) in installation condition, i.e. with pressure monitoring switch mounted (S62/27, S62/28) as well as squib (R42, R42/1) and without protective caps (3a, 3b)

Use electronic scales with weighing range up to at least 5 kilograms and 1 gram division.

2. Compare determined gross weight of the extinguishing agent tank (1) with the weight specifications (2) on the extinguishing agent tank (1), replace extinguishing agent tank (1) if necessary.

The determined gross weight may be a maximum of 5 grams below the weight specification (2).

The weight specification (2) recorded on the extinguishing agent tank (1) shows the gross weight on the day of manufacture in the delivery condition. This gross weight comprises the weights of the extinguishing agent tank (1) with filling, pressure monitoring switch (S62/27, S62/28) and the protective caps (3a, 3b).

When installing a new extinguishing agent tank (1) in the vehicle the gross weight recorded on the weight specification (2) increases by 45 grams due to the assembly of the squib (R42, R42/1) and the deletion of the protective caps (3a, 3b).

As the maximum permissible weight loss is 50 grams, the determined gross weight must be a maximum of 5 grams below the weight specification (2) recorded on the extinguishing agent tank.
