AN82.60-P-0016-04SX Prepare Media Interface Power Supply Wiring Harness

Component Identification:

1 Free wiring harness for media interface power supply (9) with black 8-pin coupling (2), round cable lug (5), blue fuse carrier (6) and contact SLK 2.8 (7) from the rest of the wiring harness.
2 Free video signal line (8) with white 1- pin video signal connector (1) and black 40-pin coupling (4) from the rest of the wiring harness.







3 Remove blue fuse (11) from coupling (3) of optical fiber wiring harness (10).
4 Remove optical fiber wiring harness (10) from coupling (3).

The optical fiber wiring harness (10) is no longer required.










5 Remove protective caps (15) on one side of optical fiber (13, 14).
6 Install optical fiber (13) in input contact cavity (arrow A) of coupling (3).

Observe arrows on coupling (3).

7 Install optical fiber (14) in output contact cavity (arrow B) of coupling (3).

Observe arrows on coupling (3).

8 Install blue fuse (11) in coupling (3).
9 Remove protective sheaths (16) from optical fiber previously removed from coupling (3) and attach on optical fibers (13, 14).
10 Transfer the arrow directions on the coupling (3) onto the opposite ends of the optical fibers (13, 14).

The direction of the signal flow can therefore be determined later when installing the optical fibers (13, 14).

11 Cut off brown line (br) of wiring harness for media interface power supply (9) 1000 mm behind black 8-pin coupling (2).
12 Attach new round cable lug (5) with inside diameter of 6 mm at brown line (br).
13 Cut off orange line (or) of wiring harness for media interface power supply (9) 2500 mm behind black 8-pin coupling (2).
14 Attach contact SLK 2.8 (7) at orange line (or).







15 Wrap wiring harness for media interface power supply (9) with optical fibers (13, 14) with insulation tape over a length of 2300 mm, as shown, to form one wiring harness.

Begin at black 8-pin coupling (2) and black 2-pin optical fiber coupling (3).
Branch off brown line (br) 700 mm behind black 8-pin coupling (2).

16 Wrap wiring harness for media interface power supply (9) and optical fibers (13, 14) with felt tape to a length of 2100 mm.

Begin at black 8-pin coupling (2) and black 2-pin optical fiber coupling (3).
