AN82.60-P-0016-02SX Retrofit Media Interface Wiring Harness
Component Identification:
1 Remove bolts (2) and place fuse box of right instrument panel (F1/6) with electrical lines connected to one side.
2 Open glove box lid.
3 Unclip AUX/video connector (3) out of glove box from behind through opening (arrow A) in instrument panel and guide out toward rear.
On vehicles in which AUX/video connector (3) is installed.
4 Wrap AUX/video connector (3) with felt tape and fix in place at vehicle wiring harness using cable tie.
On vehicles in which AUX/video connector (3) is installed. Fix AUX/video connector (3) in place so that no rattling noises can occur.
5 Remove cover (4) from glove box.
On vehicles in which cover (4) is installed.
6 Route media interface 1 connector (X18/67) of media interface wiring harness (1) through opening in glove box from behind.
7 Clip media interface 1 connector (X18/67) into glove box.
The catch hooks (arrows B) must engage properly in the glove box.
8 Route media interface wiring harness (1) behind instrument panel into front passenger footwell (arrow C).
Route media interface wiring harness (1) so that the installation of the fuse box of the right instrument panel (F1/6) is not obstructed.
9 Guide white 1-pin video signal coupling (5) in lower area sideways out of instrument panel.
10 Position fuse box of right instrument panel (F1/6) and tighten with bolts (2).
11 Close glove box lid.
12 Route media interface wiring harness (1) to media interface control unit (N125/1) as shown.
13 Connect black 30-pin coupling (8) of media interface wiring harness (1) to media interface control unit (N125/1).
14 Form a loop with excess length of media interface wiring harness (1) and fix in place using cable tie at vehicle wiring harness (9).
Ensure the greatest possible distance between the media interface wiring harness (1) and the interior prefuse box (F32/4).
