Taxi two-way radio antenna line.


Component Identification:






Installation location: right C-pillar

1 Remove bracket (31) for right C-pillar paneling.

Do not unscrew seat belt guide bracket (32b) for the seat belt from the right C-pillar.


Component Identification:









2 Connect blue connector (25b) of two-way radio antenna (A2/49a3) to blue coupling (3) of taxi two-way radio antenna line (1).
3 Secure connection thus created to underside of roof with felt strip as per picture (see arrow A).
4 Position two-way radio antenna line (25f) in a loop between the roof bow and the underside of the roof as per picture (see broken line).
5 Secure the two other antenna lines of the two-way radio antenna (A2/49a3) with a felt strip (see arrow B).

Installation location: right C-pillar

6 Route taxi two-way radio antenna line (1) on underside of roof as per picture and secure with felt strip (see arrows).

It is imperative that the routing path of the taxi two-way radio antenna line (1) is observed, as otherwise the taxi two-way radio antenna line (1) could be damaged during installation of the various panels.







Installation location: right C-pillar

7 Lift insulation (33) from C-pillar as far as necessary so that taxi two-way radio antenna line (1) can be routed underneath.
8 Route taxi two-way radio antenna line (1) on right C-pillar as per picture and secure with felt strips (see arrows).

The taxi two-way radio antenna line (1) must be routed behind seat belt guide bracket (32b) and under insulation (33).







It is imperative that the routing path of the taxi two-way radio antenna line (1) is observed, as otherwise the taxi two-way radio antenna line (1) could be damaged during installation of the various panels.

9 Route taxi two-way radio antenna line (1) further along on-board wiring harnesses on the rear shelf and secure using cable ties.







10 Route taxi two-way radio antenna line (1) on from the rear shelf along on-board wiring harnesses to taxi two-way radio antenna separation point (X39/63) and secure with cable ties.

The taxi two-way radio antenna separation point (X39/63) was previously routed together with rental vehicle wiring harness in area of right rear outer seat.

11 Connect blue connector (2) of two-way radio antenna line (1) to blue coupling of taxi two-way radio antenna separation point (X39/63).

If the customer wants the two-way radio to be installed in the luggage compartment , blue connector (2) must be connected to blue coupling of taxi two-way radio antenna separation point (X39/63) labeled "Luggage compartment two-way radio/RA" .

If the customer wants the two-way radio to be installed in the glove compartment , blue connector (2) must be connected to blue coupling of taxi two-way radio antenna separation point (X39/63) labeled "Glove compartment two-way radio/Radio" .

12 Slide foam material over the connector for the taxi two-way radio antenna separation point (X39/63) and two-way radio speaker separation point (X1/45) thus created and strap down at on-board wiring harness with cable ties in the area under the right rear seat.
