GPS antenna line

Installation location: right of luggage compartment next to on-board electrical system battery

1 Open tied up GPS antenna line (24a) of rental vehicle wiring harness (24a).


Component Identification:






Installation location: right of luggage compartment underneath rear shelf

2 Route GPS antenna line (24a) through existing opening to top side of rear shelf.
3 Fasten GPS antenna line (24a) at existing wiring harnesses using cable tie.










4.1 Vehicles with code (527) COMAND APS (with navigation system)
- Peel off foil from bottom side of antenna splitter (A2/5) and clip antenna splitter (A2/5) onto rear shelf.
- Route GPS antenna line (24a) along existing lines on rear shelf to antenna splitter (A2/5).
- Connect GPS connector (24b) to antenna splitter (A2/5).

Connect GPS connector (24b) to connection with black clip.

- Fasten GPS antenna line (24a) with a felt strip (arrow B) on rear shelf as per picture.
- Fasten GPS antenna line (24a) at existing lines on rear shelf using cable tie.







4.2 Vehicles without code (527) COMAND APS (with navigation system)
- Route GPS antenna line (24a) along existing lines on rear shelf all the way to the connection location (see arrow A).
- Connect GPS connector (24b) of GPS antenna line (24a) to connector (24c) of standard line.
- Position established connector on rear shelf as per picture.
