AZ88.00-P-0001-02CA Converting Front Bumper

Check components removed from standard bumper before assembly and replace if damaged.

Pay attention to paint damage.







Vehicles with headlamp cleaning system, code 600

1. Install cover (16) with HCS [SRA] spring (18) on right and left in front paneling.

For purpose pull bearing bracket on HCS [SRA] cover (16) apart and insert into bearing holes in HCS [SRA] frame (17). Then close HCS [SRA] cover (16) and insert HCS [SRA] spring (18).







Vehicles with Parktronic system (PTS) code 220

2. Route PTS wiring harness (19) with connected PARKTRONIC distance sensors into front paneling (1) and fix in place at specified attachment points.
3. Clip outer left front, center left front, inner left front, inner right front, center right front (B8/5) and outer right front (B8/6) PARKTRONIC distance sensors into brackets on front paneling (1).

Previously check whether a decoupling ring (transparent silicon ring) is installed on the PARKTRONIC distance sensors.

4. Fasten electrical connector on PARKTRONIC front bumper (X26/27) to right basic carrier (2).







4. Insert center air inlet grate (8) into front paneling (1) and arrest.

The center air inlet grate (8) should arrest properly in the front paneling (1).







5. Insert additional headlamp covers (20) on right and left into front paneling (1) and arrest.

The additional headlamp covers (20) should arrest properly in the front paneling (1).

6. Install three clip nut nuts (21) each on left and right on additional headlamp covers (20).







7. Insert center lower center basic carrier (4) into front paneling (1) and arrest.

The center lower basic carrier (4) should arrest properly in the front bumper paneling (1).







8. Insert additional headlamp (23) into right and left additional headlamp covers and install with three sheet metal screws (4.8x19) (22) each.







8. Insert right and left basic carrier (3) into front paneling (1) and arrest.

The right and left basic carrier (3) should arrest properly in the front paneling (1).

9. Insert sheet metal rails (5) on right and left.
10. Connect sheet metal rails (5), left and right basic carrier (3) and front paneling (1) with one blind rivet each (7).







11. Fasten left and right basic carrier (3) in area of wheel well, right and left front paneling (1) one blind rivet (7) each.







12. Fasten center air inlet grate (8) on right and left to right and left basic carrier (3) with one blind rivet each.







Vehicles with DISTRONIC PLUS, code 233

13. Insert left and right front bumper DISTRONIC (DTR) sensor (B29/2) into right and left basic carrier (3), connect and secure with mounting brackets (9).

The mounting brackets (9) should arrest properly in the right and left basic carriers (3).







14. Install one insert clip nut (10) on right and left to right and left basic carrier (3).
15. Install left front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/1) and right front bumper pedestrian protection sensor (B151/3) on right and left with one bolt M5x20 (11) each and connect to G-SAT wiring harness (23).







16. Insert hole reinforcement (12) on right and left into right and left basic carrier (3) and center bottom (4).







17. Instal right and left impact absorbers (13) and center impact absorber (14) in front paneling (1).
18. Insert right and left basic carrier reinforcements (15) into front paneling (1) and arrest.

The right and left basic carrier reinforcements (15) must arrest properly in the front paneling (1).







19. Position license plate frame (25) outside of front paneling (1) and prepare for assembly.

Use license plate frame (25) as template for marking holes. The distances (a and b) between the license plate frame (25) and the measuring points should be equal. The inner ultrasonic sensors, distance (a) (left picture) and center edge of the front bumper paneling (1), distance (b) (center picture), serve as measuring points depending on the equipment. Align license plate frame (25) along contour of front paneling (1) (right picture).

20. Drill two holes for installation of license plate frame (25) and fasten license plate frame (25) to front bumper paneling (1) using two bolts.

Tighten bolts only with screwdriver.

21. Hook check strap on towing eye cover into front paneling (1).
22. Inset towing eye cover into front paneling (1) and arrest.

The towing eye cover should be arrested correctly in front paneling (1).
