- with CODE (475) Tire pressure monitor (premium) Fa. Schrader

Component Identification:

Location
The tire pressure monitor control unit is located on the under floor above the rear axle.

Task
The tire pressure monitoring system control unit has the following tasks:
^ Reading in of signals
^ Evaluation of input factors
^ Actuation of components

Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in with the following connections:
^ Two-way radio
^ Chassis CAN (CAN E)

Two-way radio
The signals from the following sensors are read in via radio:
- Left front tire pressure sensor (A69/1)
- Right front tire pressure sensor (A69/2)
- Left rear tire pressure sensor (A69/3)
- Right rear tire pressure sensor (A69/4)

Chassis CAN
The following signals are read in over the chassis CAN:
- Instrument cluster (A1):
- Vehicle speed signal
- Outside temperature
- Electronic ignition lock control unit (N73):
- Circuit 15 status

Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.

Actuation of components
The instrument cluster is actuated over the chassis CAN.

Design
The central antenna is integrated into the tire pressure monitoring system control unit.
