GF77.30-P-4050CA Soft Top Indicator and Warning Messages, Function
GF77.30-P-4050CA Soft Top Indicator And Warning Messages, Function
Function description, soft top indicator and warning messages
The rear control unit (N22/6) transmits the signal requirements for control and warning messages for the soft top to the instrument cluster (A1) via the interior CAN (CAN B) and assigns them a priority.
The soft top control and warning messages are valid for manual actuation via the soft top control switch (S84) as well as transmitter key (A8/1) via infrared signal.
Function and warning messages are:
- Warning gong in instrument cluster
- Function and warning messages via display in instrument cluster
Warning gong in instrument cluster
The warning gong in the instrument cluster is actuated for max. 10 s with C. 15 ON and at a speed > 8 km/h when the soft top is unlocked. After expiration of 10 s the warning gong is disabled and triggered only after:
- C. 15 OFF changes to C. 15 ON or
- a change in the position of the soft top or
- actuation of the soft top control switch opposite the relocking direction or
- actuation of relocking (after change in soft top actuation switch from "actuated" to "not actuated").
Moreover, the warning gong in the instrument cluster is actuated for 20 s when the stop mode is switched off. Actuation is started 15 minute before switching off the Stop mode.
Function and warning messages via display in instrument cluster
This is requested by the power soft top control unit (N22/6). The rear control unit checks the function requirements for the display texts in the instrument cluster (A1).
The message display is possible independently from the status of c. 15, since these messages are also required when the soft top roof is operated via the transmitter key with IR signal.
Table, control and warning signals in instrument cluster
Individual messages can be transmitted in parallel to the other messages. Otherwise, the rear control unit transmits only one message to the instrument cluster with the corresponding priority. Messages with the same priority "2" cannot result simultaneously due to the soft top sequence and are therefore sent individually depending on the situation present.
