1 Install red line for power supply (rt) in slot 8 of blue 8-pin connector (6).
2 Install blue/black line, wake-up signal (bl/sw) in slot 5 of blue 8-pin connector (6).
3 Lock retaining clamps (arrows A) at blue 8-pin connector (6).
4 Detach contact (11) from red power supply line (rt).

5 Open covers at right front cable duct (12).
6 Route red line for power supply (rt), as shown, in right front cable duct (12).
The red line for power supply (rt) will be routed to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module. The blue 8-pin connector (6) will be connected to the blue 8-pin coupling of the power supply wiring harness in the front passenger footwell at a later point in time.

7 Close covers at right front cable duct (12).

8 Route red power supply line (rt) along broken line through cable ducts (13) using pull-through device.
9 Fix red power supply line (rt) in place using cable tie (15) at vehicle wiring harness (14).

10 Pull right trunk panel (27) in lower area to one side and route pull-through device (28) into the passenger compartment starting at the trunk.
Route pull-through device (28) through cable duct (29).

11 Route red power supply line (rt) using pull-through device along vehicle wiring harness (28) in trunk.

12 Lift floor covering (4) and route red power supply line (rt) along vehicle wiring harness to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and fix in place using cable ties.
13 Release catch hooks (arrows B) and remove green 7-pin fuse carrier (7) at rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
Only for vehicles in which the green 7-pin fuse holder (7) is already installed.

14 Attach "SPT" contact (16) to red power supply line (rt).
The "SPT" contact (16) for installation in the green 7-pin fuse carrier (7) can be found in the wiring harness repair kit.

15 Insert "SPT" contact (16) into contact cavity 1 of vehicle's own green 7-pin fuse carrier (7) or the one included in the package contents.
The designation of the individual contact cavities is on the green 7-pin fuse carrier (7) (arrow C).

16 Install green 7-pin fuse carrier (7) at rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and clip into catch hooks (arrows B).
17 Insert fuse 81 (N10/2f81) with a strength of 7.5 amps in slot 1 at green 7-pin fuse carrier (7).

18 Fix red line (rt) with blue 8-pin connector (6) in place at side of A-pillar on vehicle wiring harness using cable ties (18).

19 Unscrew nuts (20) and fold back passenger-side footrest (19).

20 Route brown line (br) of power supply wiring harness along vehicle wiring harness (22) from installation location of media interface control unit to right front footwell ground point (W15/7) and fix in place using cable ties (21).
The black 4-pin coupling (2) is connected to media interface control unit. This is installed behind the glove compartment at crossmember below the instrument panel at a later point.

21 Fasten brown line (br) at right front footwell ground point (W15/7).

22 Connect blue 8-pin coupling (5) to blue 8-pin connector (6).
23 Route blue/black line, wake-up signal (bl/sw) from blue 8-pin connector (6) along vehicle wiring harness into installation opening of audio equipment and fix in place using cable tie.

24 Fix blue/black line, wake-up signal (bl/sw) and power supply wiring harness in place using cable tie at vehicle wiring harness.
Form loops using excess length of blue/black line, wake-up signal (bl/sw) and fix in place using a cable tie (arrow D) as shown.

25 Reinstall passenger-side footrest (19) and tighten with nuts (20).

Perform operation steps 26 up to 28 on vehicles:
- without code (537) Digital radio or
- without code (810) Sound system or
- without code (863) Digital/analog TV tuner

26 Release lock (24) at black 34-pin coupling (8).
27 Install contact (23) of blue/black line, wake-up signal (bl/sw) in contact cavity 16 (arrow E) of black 34-pin coupling (8).
28 Relock lock (24) at black 34-pin coupling (8).

Perform operation steps on vehicles:
- with code (537) Digital radio or
- with code (810) Sound system or
