GF54.21-P-3300CA Multifunction Camera Component Description
GF54.21-P-3300CA Multifunction Camera Component Description
- with CODE (608) Adaptive high beams assist
- with CODE (513) Speed Limit Assist
Component Identification:
Location
The multifunction camera is located underneath the inside rearview mirror (A67) on the windshield.
Task
The multifunction camera records pictures of the area in front of the vehicle. The data are processed in the multifunction camera's internal control unit.
The multifunction camera has the following tasks:
^ Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
^ Evaluation of input factors
^ Control of systems
^ Component actuation
Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
The input factors are read in via the following connection:
^ Chassis CAN (CAN E)
Chassis CAN
The signals are read in by the multifunction camera via the chassis CAN. The functions resulting therefrom are described in the corresponding function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors are evaluated by the microprocessor and the corresponding components are actuated.
Control of systems
The multifunction camera controls the following systems:
- Speed Limit Assist (with code (513) Speed Limit Assist)
- Adaptive high beams (with code (608) Adaptive Highbeam Assist)
To prevent fogging in the field of view of the multifunction camera a hot-print is applied to the windshield. This is actuated by the multifunction camera.
Component actuation
The signals are transmitted by the multifunction camera via the chassis CAN.
The functions resulting therefrom are described in the corresponding function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Design
The multifunction camera consists of the following main components integrated in a housing:
- Multifunction camera
- Multifunction camera control unit
- Multifunction camera heater
The multifunction camera should be calibrated after exchanging the multifunction camera or windshield.
