1 Route multifunction antenna antenna lines through opening (arrow B) into the trunk and clip cable duct holder (18.1) into body.
Check cable duct (18) is correctly seated on cable duct holder (18.1), as otherwise water entry may occur.
The catch hooks (arrows C) must latch audibly into place on the body.
2 Hook cable duct (18) into holder (arrow A).






3 Route multifunction antenna antenna lines (2), as shown, and clip holders (28) in at body.
The multifunction antenna antenna lines (2) are shown here with the trunk covers removed for greater clarity.






The violet connector (29.1) is installed on:
- code (511) Audio 50 APS incl. DVD changer or
- code (512) COMAND APS with DVD changer or
- code (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio or
- code (527) COMAND APS with single DVD drive (with navigation system)

The white connector (29.2) is installed on:
- Code (537) Digital radio

4 Connect the violet connector or the white connector of the multifunction antenna antenna lines (2) with the color-coded couplings of the vehicle wiring harness (31) and slide the foam material wrapping (32) over the violet connector (29.1) or white connector (29.2).
5 Strap down no longer required violet connector or white connector of multifunction antenna antenna lines (2) and fix in place using felt tape.






6 Leave black connector (37.3) for antenna lines (2) lying in area of previously-made connectors.
The black connector (37.3) will be joined at a later stage to the antenna line to be installed.






7 Route multifunction antenna antenna lines (2), as shown, into trunk lid and fix in place with the holders, which are located on the multifunction antenna antenna lines (2).
8 Fix multifunction antenna antenna lines (2) in place, as shown, using adhesive tape (17).
9 Join electrical connectors for multifunction antenna (A28/11x1) with connectors of multifunction antenna antenna lines (2) and the multifunction antenna line couplings (34).
The individual electrical connectors for the multifunction antenna (A28/11x1) are color-coded.

10 Clip the cable duct holder (18.2) for the cable duct (18) into the trunk lid.
Check cable duct (18) is correctly seated on cable duct holder (18.2), as otherwise water entry may occur.
The catch hooks on the cable duct holder (18.2) must latch audibly into place on the body.






11 Install trunk lid cover (12) and fix in place with clips (13).
12 Install holder (14) of hazard warning triangle.






13 Join electrical connector of ambient lamp and left trunk lid warning lamp (E40/2).
14 Install inner handle strip (8) and fasten in place using screws/ bolts (10).
15 Remove clips (9) from inner handle strip (8).
16 Install hazard warning triangle (11).






17 Align left trunk lining (22) and position edge guard (arrow).
18 Align cover (25) and install clips (27).
19 Install variable soft top compartment limit switch (S84/9).
20 Install clip (23)
Cover (24) will be installed at a later point in time.

21 Fold soft top compartment (26) to rear.
