Work procedure shown on vehicle with manual transmission and code (580) Automatic air conditioning






1 Guide out taximeter branch-off line (1) of taxi/rental vehicle wiring harness centrally between automatic climate control control and operating unit (N22/7) and center console (2).
Guide taximeter branch-off line (1) out 50 mm.






2 Position installation frame (3) at center console (2) in place of ashtray or front stowage compartment.
The taximeter branch-off line (1) must be positioned centrally between the installation frame (3) to prevent the obstruction of additional installation.

3 Tighten installation frame (3) with screws/bolts (4).
4 Position foam insert over selector lever.
Only in case of vehicles with manual transmission. On vehicles with automatic transmission, no foam insert is installed.






5 Insert and clip in cover (6) at center console (2).
First insert cover (6) in rear area (arrow).

6 Place shift lever knob (8) or selector lever knob on gearshift or selector lever and lock.
7 Clip boot (7) into cover (6).
