1 Install red line for power supply (rt) in slot 8 of blue 8-pin connector (6).
2 Install blue/black line, wake-up signal (bl/sw) in slot 5 of blue 8-pin connector (6).
3 Remove contact (11) to connect red line for power supply (rt) to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module.
4 Lock retaining clamps (arrows A) at blue 8-pin connector (6).






5 Lift right front floor covering (12).
6 Open covers at right front cable duct (13).
7 Route red line for power supply (rt), as shown, in right front cable duct (13).
The red line for power supply (rt) will be routed to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module.

8 Close covers at right front cable duct (13).






9 Route red line for power supply (rt), as shown, using pull-through device (15) through cable duct (14) next to front passenger seat.
10 Route red line for power supply (rt), as shown, using pull-through device (15) through cable duct (16) of B-pillar into rear footwell.






11 Route red line for power supply (rt) through cable duct (17), as shown, using pull-through device.
12 Route red power supply line (rt) along vehicle wiring harness (18) in area of rear door as shown.
13 Fix red power supply line (rt) in place using cable tie at vehicle wiring harness (18).






14 Remove right paneling (19) in trunk.
15 Remove expansion clip (20) of cover (21).
16 Remove cover (21).
17 Remove expansion clip (22) of paneling (23).






18 Route red power supply line (rt), as shown, through cable duct (24) behind paneling (23) to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) using pull-through device (15).
If necessary, press the paneling (23) carefully to one side.






19 Release catch hooks (arrows) and remove violet 7-pin fuse carrier (7) at rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).






20 Attach "SPT" contact (25) to red power supply line (rt) and insert into contact cavity 5 of violet 7-pin fuse carrier (7).
The "SPT" contact (25) can be found in the wiring harness repair kit.

21 Install "SPT" contact (25) and violet 7- pin fuse carrier (7) at rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and insert 7.5 amp fuse 78 (N10/2f78) in slot 5 at violet 7-pin fuse carrier (7).
The designation of the individual contact cavities is on the violet 7-pin fuse carrier (7) (arrow C).

22 Fix red power supply line (rt) in place using cable tie (arrows D) at vehicle wiring harness.






23 Fold back and align right front floor covering (12).
24 Fix blue 8-pin connector (6) with red power supply line (rt) in place at side of A-pillar at vehicle wiring harness using cable ties (27).






25 Route power supply wiring harness (28) with brown line (br), as shown, from installation location (arrow E) of media interface control unit to blue 8-pin connector (6).
Set down brown line (br) of power supply wiring harness (28) in front passenger footwell.

26 Connect blue 8-pin coupling (5) to blue 8-pin connector (6).
27 Route blue/black line, wake-up signal (bl/sw) from blue 8-pin connector (6) along vehicle wiring harness and optical fiber wiring harness (3) into installation opening of audio equipment.
28 Fix power supply wiring harness (28) and blue/black line, wakeup signal (bl/sw) in place using cable ties at vehicle wiring harness.






29 Fold back right front floor covering (12).
30 Unscrew nuts (29) and fold back passenger-side footrest (30).






31 Fasten brown line (br) to right footwell ground point (W15/1).
A maximum of 5 ground lines can be attached at the right footwell ground point (W15/1). The right front footwell ground point (W15/7) is to be used as needed.






32 Reinstall passenger-side footrest (30) and tighten with nuts (29).
33 Fold forward right front floor covering (12).
Only perform steps 34 to 36 on vehicles without code (537) Digital radio or without code (810) Sound system or without code (863) Digital/analog TV tuner.






34 Release lock (31) at black 34-pin coupling (8).
35 Install contact (32) of blue/black line, wake-up signal (bl/sw) in contact cavity 16 (arrow F) of black 34-pin coupling (8).
36 Lock lock (31) at black 34-pin coupling (8).
Only perform the following steps on vehicles with code (537) Digital radio or with code (810) Sound system or with code (863) Digital/analog TV tuner.






37 Cut off contact (32) at the blue/black line, wake-up signal (bl/sw).
38 Connect blue/black line, wake-up signal (bl/sw) with a potential distributor (34) to blue/black line, wake-up signal (33) of vehicle wiring harness.
The blue/black line, wake-up signal (33) of the vehicle wiring harness is located in contact cavity 16 (arrow F) of the black 34-pin coupling (8).
The potential distributor (34) can be found in the wiring harness repair kit.
