1 Switch on ignition.
2 Close crank window (1)
3 Switch off ignition.
Measure dimension "b" from crank window guide rail (1) and dimension "c, d" from top edge of crank window (1) with vernier caliper ().
4 Glue adhesive tape (15, approx. 30 mm long) to crank window (1) as shown.
5 Mark lines (16, 17, 18, 19) on adhesive tape (15) as shown.
Measure dimension "a" from window guide rail (14) and dimension "c, d" from top edge of crank window (1) with vernier caliper ().
Dimensions:
a Approx. 40 mm
b Approx. 40 mm
c 3,7 mm
d 5,7 mm
6 Close front door.
7 Check penetration depth of crank window (1) in roof frame seal (20).
The crank window (1) should fit into the front of the roof frame seal (20) between the marked lines (16, 17).
The crank window (1) should fit into the rear of the roof frame seal (20) between the marked lines (18, 19).
If the penetration depth deviate, adjust crank window (1).
Adjust procedure is described in operation steps 8 and 9.
8 Insert screwdriver (21) between door paneling (22) and crank window (1) into adjustment screw (arrow C) on front mount (24) of power window (23) and adjust penetration depth of crank window (1) in roof frame seal (20) by turning adjustment screw (arrow C).
TORX screwdriver, long, T25
gotis://G_58.3_06.2
Procedure:
^ When the adjustment screw (arrow C) is turned clockwise, the crank window (1) is lowered.
^ When the adjustment screw (arrow C) is turned counterclockwise, the crank window (1) is raised.
9 Insert screwdriver (21) between door paneling (22) and crank window (1) into adjustment screw (arrow C) on rear mount (25) of power window (23) and adjust penetration depth of crank window (1) in roof frame seal (20) by turning adjustment screw (arrow D).
TORX screwdriver, long, T25
gotis://G_58.3_06.2
Procedure:
^ When the adjustment screw (arrow D) is turned clockwise, the crank window (1) is lowered.
^ When the adjustment screw (arrow C) is turned counterclockwise, the crank window (1) is raised at rear.
Gap dimension "G" can deviate depending on the depth the crank window (1) reaches into the roof frame seal (20).
10 Check gap dimension "G" with feeler gauge.
Gap may deviate by up to 1 mm from top to bottom. If the deviation between top and bottom is greater than 1 mm, adjust the depth the crank window (1) reaches into the roof frame seal (20) within tolerances (lines 16, 17, 18, 19).
11 Open front door.
12 Switch on ignition.
13 Roll crank window (1) up and down several times to check settling.
14 Switch off ignition.
15 Close front door.
16 Again check penetration depth of crank window (1) in roof frame seal (20), if necessary repeat adjustment procedure.
17 After completing check and adjustment procedures, remove adhesive tapes from crank window (1).
