- except CODE (772) AMG styling package - front spoiler, side skirts, and rear apron
- except CODE (950) AMG sport package

Repair Materials:

Work procedure shown on left side of vehicle







1. Clean front fender in cross-hatched area with specified cleaning agent.

Front fender must be dry, free of dust and grease in cross-hatched area.

2. Remove expansion rivets (3) from wheel well paneling

Expansion rivets (3) are reused.







3. Remove protective foil on adhesive strips on front mud guards (1) at corners, as shown in figure, and position so that ends of protective foil extend beyond outer edge of front mud guards (1).

Do not remove protection foil on adhesive strips completely.

4. Position front mud guard (1) at front fender as shown in picture; observe position of lug (arrow) in gap between fender and rocker panel.
5. Install expansion rivets (3) on wheel well paneling.
6. Remove retaining clips (4).

Ensure that the retaining clips (4) are installed so that the barbs (4.1) can reach into the mud guard (1). If this is not observed, the paint on the fender can be damaged and corrosion can occur.







7. Remove entire protective foil (arrows) from adhesive strips on front mud guards (1) and uniformly press adhesive strips against front fender (1).
8. Drill dia. 6.5 mm hole in rocker panel at position defined by front mud guard (1)

Cordless drill/driver

Ensure that, when drilling, other components are not damaged.

9. Install expansion rivet (5) supplied on rocker panel







10. Drill dia. 6.5 mm hole in wheel well paneling at position defined by front mud guard (1).

Cordless drill/driver

Ensure that, when drilling, other components are not damaged.

11. Install expansion rivet (5) supplied on wheel well paneling.
12. Protect inner edge of front fender in area of clips (4) from inside against corrosion with preservation agent.
