GF91.30-P-0002SC Electric Seat Ventilation, Function
- with CODE (401) Front deluxe seats, including seat heating and seat ventilation
Component Identification:
Function requirements:
^ Circuit 15R On
Function
With the seat ventilation integrated in the driver/front passenger seat, it is possible to ventilate the seat cushions and the backrests in three ventilation stages. Operation takes place via the seat ventilation switches designed as buttons.
Each actuation is transmitted via front door LIN to the respective door control unit, which transmits the signal via the interior CAN to the corresponding seat control unit.
As a result, the blower regulators actuate the associated motor groups with the desired seat ventilation output.
Switch seat ventilation on and over
The feedback of the set ventilation output takes place via three blue LEDs in the seat ventilation switch.
^ Actuate 1x: Stage 3 of seat ventilation
^ Actuate 2x: Stage 2 of seat ventilation
^ Actuate 3x: Stage 1 of seat ventilation
Function indicator
Feedback of the respectively active stage takes place via three blue LEDs in the corresponding seat ventilation switch.
Operate passenger seat ventilation from the driver seat
The driver can also operate the front passenger seat seat ventilation using the seat ventilation selection switch. The switchover remains active for approx. 10 s.
Manual seat ventilation cutout
The seat ventilation can be switched off manually by pressing the seat ventilation switch.
To do this, the particular seat ventilation switch has to be pressed until all LEDs have gone out.
During comfort opening of the vehicle with transmitter key (A8/1), the seat ventilation of the driver seat is switched on in stage 3. If circuit 15R is not switched on at this time, the seat ventilation deactivates after 5 min.
Automatic seat ventilation cutout
^ Shutting off after circuit 15R Off.
If circuit 15C remains On, timer control continues to run for 5 min. If circuit 15R is switched on again, the seat ventilation is also switched on in the heating stage active as per the timer control.
^ Shutting off in the event of undervoltage or overvoltage. The timer control continues to run. The LEDs of the function indicator come on briefly in the event of undervoltage and then go out.
^ Shutting off through vehicle power supply control unit (N82/1). In order to prevent the battery from discharging in all driving cycle phases, the state of charge is continuously evaluated. Depending on the situation, the seat ventilation is also deactivated if necessary.
