The fuel temperature sensor has a malfunction. The limit value for electrical voltage has been exceeded.
Check component 'B4/25 (Fuel pressure and temperature sensor)' by means of actual value.

Test prerequisites

- The combustion engine is at a standstill.
- Allow vehicle to stop for at least 5h.

Caution!
To obtain meaningful test results, the following test prerequisites must be satisfied.


Check component 'B4/25 (Fuel pressure and temperature sensor)' by means of actual value.
Test prerequisites

- Switch on ignition.
- All electrical accessories must be switched off.
- Start combustion engine.

Observation Coolant temperature [>,85°C] [<,105°C]: communication with ECU required.
Observation Fuel temperature [>,40°C] [<,80°C]: communication with ECU required.


Test 1: Continue

1.
Check power supply of component 'B4/25 (Fuel pressure and temperature sensor)'.
Test procedure
Switch off ignition.
Remove air filter of right cylinder bank.
Disconnect 4-pin plug-in connector of component 'B4/25 (Fuel pressure and temperature sensor)'.
Switch on ignition.
[B4/25x1] Measure direct voltage with multimeter between 1 and 4 [B4/25x1]
Specified value
The measured value must be between 4.75V and 5.25V.
