The lubrication pressure regulating valve (23) is located in the valve housing of the valve body assembly (2a).

Task
The lubrication pressure regulating valve (23) limits the pressure in the torque converter. The lubrication pressure is also used to lubricate and cool the mechanical part of the transmission.

On the working pressure regulating valve (22) excess oil is routed to the lubrication pressure regulating valve (23). The lubrication pressure (p-Sm) regulated from there is used to supply the transmission lubrication and to supply the torque converter.
