GF27.19-P-5177ACW Torque Converter Lockup Clutch Control Solenoid Valve, Component Description
GF27.19-P-5177ACW Torque converter lockup clutch control solenoid valve, component description
- TRANSMISSION 722.618/640/646/695/699
Component Identification:
Location
The control solenoid valve for the torque converter lockup clutch is located on the supporting body of the automatic transmission's electric controller unit and is pushed by a leaf spring (2c) against the valve housing of the valve body assembly (2a).
Task
The torque converter lockup clutch control solenoid valve controls the pressure for the torque converter lockup clutch.
Component Identification:
Design
Shown here, shifting phase
The torque converter lockup clutch control solenoid valve is sealed towards the valve body of the valve body assembly (2a) by an O-ring (34) and a gap seal (arrow).
The contact springs (32) on the torque converter lockup clutch control solenoid valve engage in a slot in the conductor tracks. The force of the contact springs (32) ensures safe contacts.
Function
The control solenoid valve for the torque converter lockup clutch converts a pulse-width modulated current actuated by the electronic transmission-control control unit (N15/3) into the corresponding hydraulic torque converter lock-up clutch control pressure.
