Component Identification:
1. Contact clutch control unit (7) at the quickpark control unit (1).
2. Attach quickpark control unit (1) to the side piece with double-sided adhesive tape.
Bonding surfaces must be pre-treated in accordance with adhesive tape manufacturer's instructions.
3. Connect ground connection (8) to ground point, luggage compartment (right taillamp) (W7/1).
4. Contact line lacing of power supply with fuse holder (10) on rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) at slot 59.
The connector is color coded.
5. Pry off rear shelf cover and, using a suitable tool, cut a cutout the size of the warning tone speaker (2) in the rear shelf. Guide the line of the warning tone speaker (2) through the existing opening in the luggage compartment. Attach double-sided adhesive tape to the complete back face of the warning tone speaker (2) and stick on the warning tone speaker (2).
Bonding surfaces must be pre-treated in accordance with adhesive tape manufacturer's instructions.
6. Fix the line of the warning tone speaker in position with adhesive tape and route to the quickpark control unit. Contact the line of the warning tone speaker with "average" warning tone volume.
Depending on the fitting point or customer request the warning tone volume can be switched over to "Loud" or "Quiet".
7. Remove rubber plug from the opening in the trunk floor. Route quickpark wiring harness (6) outwards through the opening and seal the opening with the rubber grommet (arrow) attached to the sensor wiring harness.
8. Route sensor wiring harness to the bumper reinforcement and fasten with cable ties in a manner which is free from chafing and noise.
9. Connect the connectors to the sensors with the rubber seals of the sensor wiring harness.
The rubber seals must be installed over the sensor connectors so that the connections are watertight.
10. Loosen yellow housing connector 9 I (arrow) on rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and take off.
11. Remove black contact carrier (arrow) from the yellow housing connector.
12. Unpin brown line from black contact carrier, contact cavity 31 and pin into contact cavity 2 of the housing connector CAN (13) supplied. Pin the brown CAN line (br) of the Quickpark wiring harness into contact cavity 31 of the black contact carrier.
13. Unpin brown/red CAN line from the black contact carrier, contact cavity 30 and pin into contact cavity 1 of the housing connector CAN (13) supplied. Pin brown/red CAN line of the Quickpark wiring harness into contact cavity 30 of the black contact carrier.
14. Contact CAN coupling (13) on the vehicle's own wiring harness with the CAN plug (12) of the Quickpark cable lacing.
15. Install black contact carrier in yellow housing connector and contact with the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
