Location
The panoramic sliding roof control unit is located at the front left on the frame of the panoramic sliding roof.
Task
The panoramic sliding roof control unit has the following purposes:
^ Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
^ Evaluation of input factors
^ Actuation of components
Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
The input factors are read in with the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via a direct line:
- Panoramic sliding roof switch (N70/3s1)
- Hall sensor 1, panoramic sliding roof roller sun blind (M12/5b1)
- Hall sensor 2, panoramic sliding roof roller sun blind (M12/5b2)
Interior CAN
The signals for the following sensors are read in via the interior CAN:
- Rain/light sensor (B38/2) (provided by front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1))
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.

- Panoramic sliding roof roller sun blind drive unit (M12/5)
- Integrated panoramic sliding roof motor (A98m1)
Design
The panoramic sliding roof control unit includes the following components:
- Hall sensor 1, panoramic sliding roof (A98b1)
- Hall sensor 2, panoramic sliding sunroof (A98b2)
- Panoramic sliding roof motor
- Panoramic sliding roof control unit (A98n1)
