Operating instructions
Via the button group of the left multifunction steering wheel (S110) and button group of the right multi function steering wheel (S111) various menu levels can be displayed in the travel distance display (A1p7) of the IC (A1):
- The system selection button (S110s3) can be used to scroll through each menu level.
- The Reset and "Back" button (S110s7) can be used to select the relevant submenu or to scroll through various lists and to confirm the corresponding selection or setting.
- The + and -, setting specific functions and volume control button (S111s1) can be used to set the time and date.

All the buttons of the multifunction steering wheel button group are always installed. Activation of the corresponding functions however depends on the equipment installed in the vehicle.

"Trip" menu
The following functions can be selected in the "Trip" menu:
- Show standard display or reset odometer
- Show or reset trip computer "After start"
- Show or reset trip computer "After reset"
- Show range and instantaneous fuel consumption
- Show digital speedometer

"Navi" menu
Navigation notes are displayed in the "Navi" menu when the function is switched on. When the function is switched off, the display shows the direction of travel with cardinal points (e.g. "NW direction of travel").

"Audio" menu
The following functions can be selected in the "Audio" menu:
- Select radio station
- Operate CD player/CD changer/DVD changer/DVD audio/MP3
- Operate DVD video

"Telephone" menu
When the function is switched on the name of the selected mobile telephone network is displayed in the "Telephone" menu. It is still possible then to scroll through the stored telephone book and select an entry.

If a telephone is not detected when the function is switched on, the message "Ready for Bluetooth telephony" appears.

Assist menu
The following function can be selected in the "Assist." menu:
- Switch "ESP" passive or active (as of 1.6.10)

"Service" menu
You can choose between the following submenus in the "Service" menu:
- "Messages" (with number of stored fault messages or warning messages)
- "ASSYST PLUS" (e.g. display of remaining distance until next service)

"Settings" menu
The following submenus, in which settings can be made, are shown in the "Settings"menu:
- "Instrument cluster"
- "Current vehicle speed"
- "Outside temperature"

- "Time/date" (only vehicles without navigation system)
- "Set time"
- "Set date"

- "Lights"
- "Intelligent Light System" (with code (621) Intelligent Light System (left-hand traffic) or with code (622) Intelligent Light System (right-hand traffic))
- "Daytime running lights"
- "Ambient illumination"
- "Inner OFF delay function"

- "Vehicle"
- "Limitation" (winter tires)
- "Automatic door locking"
- "Acoustic locking feedback (as of 1.6.10)

- "Comfort"
- "Easy entry/exit" (with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors))
- "Fold in mirrors when locking"

- "Manufacturer default settings"
- "Reset all settings: Yes/No"
