^ Central locking (CL) function
^ Liftgate control, function (on model 204.2/9 with code (890) EASY-PACK liftgate)
^ KEYLESS-GO (KG) function (with code (889) KEYLESS-GO)
^ Drive authorization system level 3 (DAS [FBS] 3), function
^ Convenience feature (CF), function
^ Anti-theft alarm system (ATA [EDW] ), function (with code (551) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA [EDW] ))
Detailed information on performing the hazard warning flasher function to output visual locking feedback of the CL and KG (with code (889) KEYLESS-GO) as well as visual alarm output of the ATA [EDW] (with code (551) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA [EDW])) are comprised in the function description "Exterior lights, function" in the partial function "Turn signal light actuation, function".

CL function
The CL controls electric locking or unlocking of the vehicle doors, trunk lid (model 204.0/3) or liftgate (model 204.2/9) and fuel filler flap.

Liftgate control, function (on model 204.2/9 with code (890) EASY-PACK liftgate)
The liftgate can be opened and closed automatically via the liftgate control.

KG function (with code (889) KEYLESS-GO)
The KG comfort feature allows keyless locking/unlocking of the CL as well as starting and switching off the engine without inserting the transmitter key (A8/1) into the electronic ignition lock control unit (N73). It is sufficient to just carry the transmitter key
Operation of the central locking (CL) via the transmitter key remains possible parallel to the KG functions.

DAS [FBS] 3, function
The DAS [FBS] 3 allows the ignition to be switched on and the engine to be started. The DAS [FBS] 3 is a compound system consisting of control units, each of which calculate and compare the drive authorization code independently. If the check in question is valid, each component is released automatically.

CF, function
The side windows, tilting/sliding roof (with code (414) Power glass tilting/sliding roof) or panoramic sliding roof (with code (413) Panoramic glass sunroof with top sliding sunroof) can be opened and closed centrally via the transmitter key and the air recirculation button (N22/7s2).

ATA [EDW] function (with code (551) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA [EDW] ))
The ATA [EDW] monitors all relevant inputs after locking the vehicle. If a change of status is detected at one of the monitored inputs, an acoustic and visual alarm is given.
