Location
The yaw rate sensor is located under the right seat.

Task
The yaw rate sensor measures the yaw rate about the vertical axis of the vehicle. The integrated lateral acceleration sensor (AY sensor) measures the lateral acceleration.

The data from the yaw rate sensor are read in by the ESP and BAS control unit (N47-5) via the vehicle dynamics CAN.
