GF80.20-P-3009RC Locking/Unlocking Vehicle With Inside Switch, Function

GF80.20-P-3009RC Locking/Unlocking Vehicle With Inside Switch, Function

General function requirements
^ Vehicle must not be locked from outside with transmitter key (A8/1)

Locking/unlocking vehicle with inside switch, function, generalThe central locking (CL) can be operated with the inside CL open switch (N72/1s16) and the lock CL [ZV] interior switch and ATA [EDW] function indicator (N72/1s17).

The function locking/unlocking vehicle with interior switch comprises the following partial functions:
^ Function sequence for locking/unlocking CL
^ Function sequence for trunk lid emergency opening (with code (494) USA version)

Function sequence for locking/unlocking CL
Actuation of the inside CL open switch or lock CL [ZV] interior switch and ATA [EDW] function indicator is read in by the upper control panel control unit (N72/1) and relayed to the EIS control unit (N73) via interior CAN.
The EIS control unit transmits the corresponding request via interior CAN to the:
- Rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2)
- Left door control unit (N69/1)
- Right door control unit (N69/2)

They unlock or lock the:
- Right door CL motor (M14/5)
- Left door CL motor (M14/6)

Opening the trunk lid via the trunk lid external operation switch (S88/8) is enabled or disabled by the rear SAM control unit. The tank cap always remains unlocked when locking with the inside CL close switch and ATA function indicator.

Enabled locking functions depending on door status: Driver door open:
Driver door open:
- Only unlocking possible

Driver or passenger door open:
- Locking inhibited

Opening a door from the inside when the CL is locked:
Every door can always be opened from the inside. At least the corresponding door is opened mechanically. If the vehicle was unlocked globally before locking, the CL is actuated centrally.

The door status is sensed by the left door contact switch (S17/3) and right door contact switch (S17/4). The door contact switches are read in by the corresponding door control unit and their status is transmitted via interior CAN.

Function sequence for trunk lid emergency opening
This function is always activated (regardless of the CL status), because it allows the trunk lid to be opened by a person trapped in the trunk.
The trunk lid emergency release (S88/10) is located on the inside of the trunk lid and is read in by the rear SAM control unit.

When the trunk lid emergency release is actuated, the SAM control unit actuates the trunk lid CL motor (S88/1m1) to unlock the rotary tumbler. The trunk lid is opened up to the upper stop by spring force.

The trunk lid emergency opening function is also performed, when the trunk lid is locked with the trunk lid contact switch (S88/6) (with code (887) Valet Parking).
