Headlamp cleaning system, general
The headlamp cleaning system cleans the headlamps automatically.

Function sequence for headlamp cleaning system
After 15 washing requests by the combination switch (S4), which is read in by the steering column tube module (N80), the request is transmitted via the interior CAN to the front passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11).
In response, this actuates the HCS [SRA] pump (M5/2).

The HCS [SRA] pump is actuated again after another 15 washing requests from the combination switch.

The number of washing requests is determined by a counter in the front passenger-side SAM control unit.
The counter is reset automatically when the 15 washing requests are performed, or manually by switching off circuit 15.

The front passenger-side SAM control unit recognizes that the low beams are switched on via the rotary light switch (S1).
The status of the rotary light switch is read in by the driver-side SAM control unit (N10/10) and transmitted via the interior CAN to the front passenger-side SAM control unit.
